Carisma was created with motor fleets in mind. The company founders started R&D activities in earnest in early 2021. In late 2022, the company became an Enterprise Ireland High Potential Start-Up. It lodged its application with the Central Bank in 2023, backed by a select number of investors, obtaining its licence to operate as both a domestic and international non-life re/reinsurance intermediary by the Central Bank of Ireland in February 2024. With offices in Dublin and Westmeath, the company’s ambition is to extend the benefits of traditional underwriting and fleet risk management to new mobility actors. To do this, the company solves existing underwriting and regulatory challenges and co-creates flexible, efficient and sustainable solutions with its clients and partners.
Our regulatory strategy aims to provide our stakeholders with confidence while ensuring client protection at a professional level. This is achieved by offering a combination of robust product provision, design, and development that meets the needs of the corporate fleet market and the specific requirements of its users.
Carisma is actively seeking opportunities to create solutions for affinity partners, considering outsourcing the risk management of their fleet portfolio to an expert. The primary decision-makers on the client side are likely to be the legal, procurement, marketing, and fleet/risk managers. Carisma is also developing a distribution network with brokers that share its values of innovation and customer protection.
